What kind of data do we store and what is the purpose of this activity of ours?

Comments
When a comment is submitted, apart from the text of the comment itself, we collect the IP address of the user and the search engine identifier also in order to filter out undesirable contents.

An anonymous character chain (so-called hash) created from the email-address is forwarded to the Gravatar service , in case it is in use on the site. The conditions of the Gravatar service can be checked on the following link: ….

Once the comment is approved, both the content of our comment and our profile photo are published and becomes available for the public.

Media
In case an image is uploaded by a registered user to the site, EXIFs that include GPS data should be avoided. The visitors of the site may download these and by doing so they may obtain the exact location data from the images present on the site.

Contact forms
The data received through the contact forms are stored up to a certain period of time due to reasons related to client care, but we do not use these data for marketing purposes.

Cookies
Just like any other page, our site also uses cookies; such text files that help websites provide a better user experience. In general, cookies are used to save and store user settings or user data, such as the settings of a shopping cart within a web shop, and to provide anonymous follow-up data for applications originating from third parties such as Google Analytics. Generally, cookies render the browsing experience better but you can block them on this or any other page, the most efficient of which is to block them on your browser itself. We recommend enquiring about the details in the „Help” section of the browser or checking the website „About Cookies” which provides information regarding all the modern browsers.

After posting a comment, the webpage stores the username, the email address and the website name in a cookie. The reason for this is to make the usage more comfortable, so in the event of the next login these fields do not have to be filled out again. The expiry date of the cookies is one year.

If we have an own user account and we are logged into this homepage, we set up temporary cookies in order to check whether the browser accepts the cookies.

These cookies do not contain any personal information and are cancelled as soon as we close the browser. By logging in to the website we create more cookies which save all the data provided and the visualisation options of the editor surface. The log-in cookies expire after two days; the cookies storing the visualisation options do so after a year.  In case you click the option „Remember me”, log-in will be enabled for two weeks’ time. After logging out, the log-in cookies will be deleted.

If we edit a post or a page, another cookie will be stored by our browser. This cookie does not contain personal data, it just simply stores the ID number of our post that we have just edited. It expires in a day.

Embedded contents from other homepages
The comments or posts made on the site may contain embedded content from external sources, such as videos, images, articles, etc. These contents from other sites behave the same way as if we had visited another site.

These websites may collect data from the visitors of the site, they may employ cookies or following codes from third parties, and may observe the user activity regarding the embedded contents in case we have an own account and we are logged in to the site.

Analytics
On our page we use the web analytics service Google Analytics. The data management policy of Google Analytics can be found on the following link:

How long do we store personal data?
In case we make a comment, the comment itself and its meta-data remain in the system for an undefined length of time. In this manner we can see and approve all the subsequent responses to our comment, therefore these answers will not be included in the list of the comments to be moderated.

The data of the users registered on our website (if there are such) are stored in their own user account too. Every user may check, edit or cancel their personal data at any time (unless they modify their username). The administrators of the site may also check and edit these data.

What kind of rights does the user have regarding personal data?
If you have an own account on the site or you make a comment, all the personal data provided and stored before can be requested in the form of an export file. You may also request to cancel all the data that you have provided before. Still, it does not apply to the data which we are obliged to store for a long time due to administration, legal or security reasons.

Where do we forward the data?
The comments submitted by visitors may be filtered by an anti-filter service.
